Coalitions: Make A Difference
A coalition is an alliance of distinct parties, persons, or states for joint action working towards a common goal. Communities across the nation are taking important steps to minimize tobacco’s harmful effects. Studies have shown that coalitions help mobilize communities to develop and implement policies and programs that can help shape tobacco-free norms, make tobacco less desirable, less acceptable, and less accessible. Check out this CDC User Guide to learn more about creating effective tobacco control coalitions.
